SECURUS Team Proudly Supports AHA

The Securus Team proudly participated in raising funds for The American Heart Association which held the annual walk at Clipper Magazine Stadium on Saturday October 3, 2009. Lisa Shirk, CEO Executive Assistant for Securus served as the 2009 Lancaster Start! Heart Walk Chairperson.

As the signature fundraising event for the American Heart Association, the Start! Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun family environment. It's also the cornerstone evernt for the Start! physicial activity initiative - a "hometown celebration" for those who have worked hard to embrace healthier lifestyles. The Start! Heart Walk will create hope, inspire change and celebrate success for all participants who commit to fighting cardiovascular disease and stroke in their own lives.

This year more than 1 million walkers will participate in some 450 events nationwide, raising funds to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 3 killers - heart disease and stroke.

Participants, families and friends experienced many additions to the Lancaster Start! Heart Walk this year, including:

• Music provided by the Cruise Control Band
• Health Screenings
• Fitness Demonstrations
• Memorial Wall to honor loved ones
• Enhanced Kids Zone
